Glistening Filaments

In this image the slender filaments of the seed reflect the side lighting toward the camera giving the mystical sparkles of light. If the angle of the light had been different the fibers may not have been visible at all. The scale of the photo can be determined from the blade of grass to the left of the image. When dealing with items this small it becomes necessary to get close to your subject. I had to get down on my stomach flat on the ground to get the prospective I desired for this image.
